Senior Commodity Manager Metal & Insourcing Europe

Job Purpose

Senior Commodity Manager Metal & Insourcing Europe to lead the procurement and insourcing strategy for metal components across Europe. The main mission of this role is to identify optimal solutions with a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) mindset, evaluate in-house production opportunities, and enhance supply chain management.

A glimpse of your daily mission

• Develop and implement procurement and insourcing strategies for metal components.

• Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and supplier base optimization.

• Manage contracts, negotiations, and supplier performance evaluation.

• Collaborate with internal teams such as Engineering, Operations, and Product Management.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvement initiatives.

• Support international supplier audits and ensure compliance with sustainability standards.

• Conduct make-or-buy analyses for strategic production decisions.

• Travel Requirement: Up to 50% of the time mainly within EMEA.

• Leading of local procurement commodities for Portugal (Foam, Miscellaneous etc.).

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong background in procurement, commodity management, and supply chain operations in an international environment.

• Strategic supplier management and negotiation.

• ERP proficiency (logistics, purchasing, inventory management).

• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

• Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
