Job Purpose


As an Product Engineer Furniture, your role entails the development of new Furniture products.

Alongside you will also be responsible for individualized and customized furniture products, often leveraging existing product programs, while ensuring the best technical solutions in terms of time and costs .

Moreover, you will analyze and prepare cost calculations and technical documents for tenders.


A glimpse of your daily mission


  • Developing customized solutions according to customer requirements, considering factors such as customer requirements, cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and alignment with the Haworth portfolio.

  • Driving the ideation, conceptualization, and development of new furniture products, leveraging your expertise in design engineering principles and industry trends

  • Generating comprehensive product documentation, including 3D assemblies for rendering and collision analysis, parametric 3D parts, 2D drawings for both customer and manufacturing purposes, and accurate bill of materials.

  • Analyzing manufacturing costs and preparing quotations in accordance with project requirements.

  • Overseeing the entire manufacturing process, from prototyping to mass production, to ensure quality and efficiency.

  • Offering technical expertise during supplier negotiations to facilitate informed decision-making.


Your Qualifications


  • Completed training in mechanical engineering or holds a degree in engineering.

  • Experience in the wood and metal processing industries is preferred.

  • Proficient in 3D CAD design, with a strong preference for PTC Creo.

  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Pro/Program or Sigmaxim is required.

  • Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory, other languages would be a plus.
