Job Purpose


The Second Life Services Manager will oversee Haworth's initiatives to extend the lifecycle of office furniture through refurbishment, repurposing, and sustainable practices. This role involves managing projects that give furniture a second life, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring alignment with Haworth's sustainability goals.


A glimpse of your daily mission


  • Work closely with design, manufacturing, and marketing teams to develop and implement second life strategies.

  • Lead and manage Second Life projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to sustainability standards.

  • Ensure refurbished furniture meets Haworth's quality standards.

  • Proactively communicate with clients and internal stakeholders about Second Life options and benefits, including impactful PowerPoint presentations to gain buy-in and support for sustainable initiatives.

  • Plan, organize, and conduct effective Second Life and circular economy workshops with clients and internal stakeholders to create awareness.

  • Conduct market research, analyze market trends and customer needs to optimize second life services.

  • Provide regular updates and reports on project progress and outcomes.

  • Ability to achieve assigned Quotas.



Job Requirements


  • University or technical school degree in design, architecture, environmental science, business management or a similar field of study.

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in Project Management.

  • Proven experience in project management, sustainability, or related fields.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Understanding of the furniture market and industry trends is essential.

  • Meticulous, well organized in information, resourceful and good time management.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Excellent in People Management and presentation skills.

  • High degree of professionalism and integrity.

  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills.

  • A strong commitment to sustainability and circular economy principles.

International travel is required.
