Indirect Commodity Buyer

Job Purpose

Indirect Commodity Buyer – Europe to develop and optimize indirect procurement processes across Europe. This role is essential for ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and delivery performance while acting as a communication link between suppliers, operations, and sales.

A glimpse of your daily mission

• Support the Head of Purchasing in implementing purchasing strategies across international operations.

• Lead strategic sourcing activities, including market trend monitoring, spend analysis, supplier negotiations, and contract management.

• Develop and manage supplier relationships, ensuring performance and compliance.

• Align procurement with internal customers, operations and sales for smooth operations and processes.

• Ensure ERP system accuracy by updating supplier and customer key data.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes.

• Travel across Portugal and Europe (20-30%) to engage with suppliers and stakeholders.

Your Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in procurement and commercial departments.

• Experience with commodity management in the indirect sector.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (Logistics, Inventory, Purchasing, Product Life Cycle Management, etc.).

• Strong negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.

• Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.

• Experience in demand/material planning and purchasing final goods.

• Ability to work in an international business environment.
