Job purpose


Under broad supervision, leads development, installation, maintenance, and modification of Haworth’s global web-based Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, business application programs, or integrated programs, taking on several components of project or complex component of project. Maintains broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, software, and/or systems relative to high performance computing. Works beyond routine nature of tasks, utilizing specialist knowledge and technology, troubleshooting complex problems and recommending creative solutions.


A glimpse of your daily mission


  • Develops, implements, installs, tests, and maintains high performance, enterprise quality, software applications and integrations to support business and user needs.

  • Develops and drives business strategy and marketing content of CRM, impacting Haworth’s sales teams, marketplace (customer influencers), dealers, and suppliers to increase value of information, tool functionality, and reporting for end users. Effectively deploys same, using appropriate electronic tools, through effective project work/management.

  • Guides and participates in project-related activities in variety of business areas to help project achieve successful outcome within budget and on-time.

  • Analyzes trends associated with recording, tracking, corresponding, and documented resolution of user problems by means of problem-reporting database software to mitigate issue amplification and result in seamless customer experience for users.

  • Analyzes user project proposals; identifies potential problem areas and recommends optimum approaches for project path, utilizing specific area of scientific/technical expertise, to generate functional and technical designs for problems solutions.

  • Leads cross-functional groups and external vendors to understand capabilities of current and/or potential system applications to make CRM and sales processes integrated, easy to use, efficient, and effective.

  • Provides functional guidance and mentorship of other CRM technical staff on specific assignments to facilitate learning and development of other Haworth members.

  • Takes ownership of and responsibility for educating and training end users to facilitate user knowledge and understanding of benefits and capabilities of CRM tools, sales processes, and other selling-related resources as needed.

  • Continually expands knowledge of technology, system enhancements, and alternative and ancillary system applications to analyze and ensure electronic tools are optimal for primary users and consistent with Information Services (IS) policy and Sales and Marketing technology strategy.

  • Uses established fact-finding procedures, knowledge of pertinent processes and procedures, and familiarity with related programming practices, software, and hardware to provide required analysis of user problems and produce requirements documents and other related software design artifacts.

  • Provides on-call support and problem resolution for computer applications in multi-user computer and communications environments to minimize interruption of service to company’s global operations.

  • Travels away from corporate offices, including internationally, to provide face-to-face communications with department’s customers or vendors as needed.

  • Utilizes personal computer (PC) and keyboard/mouse extensively while performing functions of position.


Your requirements


  • Four years' experience designing, developing, and maintaining software, including three years CRM experience related to duties and responsibilities preferred.

  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM development required.

  • Experience with any combination of following required: Dynamics 365 Plugin Development (C#/.NET), JavaScript, Power Apps Component Framework (PCF), PowerBI, D365 Software Development Kit (SDK)/.NET development, Microsoft Office Groups, Azure Machine Learning, Power Automate, Kingsway soft, Logic Applications, enterprise Extract, Transform, Load (ETL), and/or third party/Independent Software Vendor (ISV) product.

  • Excellent communication skills required.

  • Must have working knowledge of other software packages including Power BI, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Explorer, Microsoft Office, Visio, and other corporate-supported applications.

  • Working knowledge of CRM systems.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent (equivalent is defined as equivalent degree OR job-specific work experience OR combination of education and job-specific work experience; two years job-specific work experience equals one year of formal education – NOTE: job-specific work experience used for education equivalency cannot also be used for work experience qualification). OR

  • Two years formal education from technical school, college, or certification program in computer science, computer information systems, or computer systems engineering AND four years’ experience developing and maintaining software. OR

  • Eight years’ experience designing, developing, and maintaining software.
