Job Purpose


Commodity Material Planner is responsible for ensuring effective material planning and supply continuity across Europe. This role manages both OEM and third-party supply chains, securing timely delivery and optimal stock levels to meet production and customer needs.


A glimpse of your daily mission

  • Define product volumes based on inventory levels and historical consumption.

  • Place and follow up on purchase orders for all European locations on a daily basis.

  • Enforce supplier delivery deadlines and manage any discrepancies.

  • Analyze delivery schedules and safety stock, making necessary adjustments to avoid shortages.

  • Communicate closely with European departments regarding supplier capabilities and performance.

  • Work with buyers to escalate and resolve supplier-related issues.

  • Be the primary contact for internal customers regarding assigned commodities.

  • Monitor and define key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers to drive continuous improvement.

  • Contribute actively to process optimization initiatives within the supply chain.


Your Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience in material planning or procurement.

  • At least 5 years of experience in material planning, purchasing, and supplier management.

  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems preferred.

  • Strong supplier relationship management and negotiation skills.

  • Fluent in English (other European languages are an advantage).

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Highly organized, autonomous, and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.

  • Customer-focused mindset with attention to cost optimization and process improvement.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe.
