The Commodity plastic injection commodity buyer is responsible for procurement of plastic injection commodify across Europe. This role includes leading supplier performance maintain, supplier consolidation and transfer projects, supplier sourcing, NPI support, primarily in Poland and Portugal. The goal is to ensure a robust, cost-effective, and sustainable supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily procurement operations, including ERP system support and purchase order management.

  • Collect and analyze plastic purchase items, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Review and renew contracts with key suppliers.

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for existing and new plastic injection parts, especially for NPI (New Product Introduction).

  • Identify and set up potential suppliers, conduct spend analyses, and optimize the supply base.

  • Lead supplier consolidation and transfer projects, including negotiation, phasing out, and onboarding new suppliers.

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and identify competitive sources of supply.

  • Support project management activities, including risk assessment, scheduling, and reporting to stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, PLM, and Finance to ensure alignment with business requirements.

  • Utilize project management tools such as Asana for effective project tracking.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a business-related field.

  • Solid background in procurement and commodity management, with proven supply chain management skills.

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Familiarity with plastic parts, sustainable procurement, and ERP systems.

  • Fluent in English; other European languages are a plus.

  • Team player, able to build relationships and drive continuous improvement in an international environment.
