Job Purpose


Haworth is a global leader in the design and manufacture of adaptable workspaces, including systems furniture, seating, storage and wood case goods, and collaborative furniture. Your role will be to increase Haworth’s and a select Haworth Collection brand market share by developing, implementing and monitoring sales strategies specific to those influenced and managed by the Architectural and Design Community.


Key Roles and Responsibilities  


  • To meet sales quotas and individual performance and learning goals focused at supporting and/or developing new business sales strategies.

  • To provide support to Netherlands and Global sales process.

  • To develop specific sales and marketing strategies to deliver and increase Haworth’s market presence and market share via the Architecture and Design (A&D) community.

  • To have strong existing relationships with influential Architects, Designers and Specifiers that work on large furniture projects in the Netherlands. Additionally, to seek and establish new key relationships in this sphere.

  • To travel to Architects practices and Customer locations as needed in order to hit quotas and service client needs.

  • To attend, host and develop networking breakfasts, evening functions, CPD presentations and marketing events that will be attended by Architects, Designers and Specifiers.

  • To understand, apply and communicate Haworth and a select Haworth Collection brand sales strategies to customers, dealers and Haworth members.

  • Attending and supporting networking, training, and sales|dealer events out of normal hours.

  • Various ad-hoc duties assisting where necessary for internationally relevant A&D initiatives.

  • Build & manage a project pipeline of an agreed upon multiple to sales budget.

  • Communicate market activity/feedback, forecast and project updates with partner brand.


Essential Requirements


  • To develop and execute unified collaborative project marketing plans with Sales Team to achieve maximum account penetration in the Netherlands within Major / Global accounts and projects.

  • To frequently travel to Architects locations to make sales presentations, promote Haworth and a select Haworth brand  global benefits / capabilities and sell Haworth and a select Haworth brand  products.

  • To network with Customers, Dealers, Project Managers, Consultants and other influencers as necessary to identify and win new business.

  • To coordinate support of projects and monitoring of all activities pursuant to their successful closure with Haworth and a select Haworth brand  products being specified

  • To coordinate projects with local Sales Management / Dealership / Market Manager to assure consistency and customer satisfaction. Provide liaison between the Architect, Customer, Dealership and Haworth in problem-solving, where necessary, to provide a high quality service.

  • To meet assigned individual new business sales quotas and performance goals in the Netherlands.

  • To identify, prioritize, and strategize on key projects / contacts.


Job Requirements and Qualifications  


  • Bachelors’ Degree in Business administration or similar

  • Five years diversified experience in commercial A&D or PMC function, sales or marketing, including three years' experience in office furniture or commercial A&D or PMC firm

  • Understanding specific A&D needs

  • Good interpersonal skills, with ability to work equally well as member of project team or independently.

  • Dutch and English fluency is a must; multilingual preferred.

  • Excellent presentation, communication and planning skills required. High degree of professionalism and integrity.
