Job Purpose

The Accountant plays a key role in supporting Haworth's finance function by delivering timely, accurate, and relevant financial information to business leaders. This role contributes to informed decision-making, financial compliance, and the overall performance of the business through effective financial reporting, analysis, and control.



A glimpse of your daily mission

General Accounting and Reporting

  • Support the monthly financial closing process and ensure timely completion of month-end reporting.

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.

  • Coordinate intercompany settlements and vendors payments.

  • Review and submit quarterly GST F5 returns and monthly withholding tax filing in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Distribute the monthly sales commission statements to sales team members based on calculations prepared by the Shared Service Centre (SSC).

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Assist in the review and analysis of SG&A expenses and prepare variance and bridge analysis.

  • Prepare prototype cost listings and advise SSC on related journal entries.

  • Prepare monthly cashflow reports.

  • Monitor collections and manage working capital performance.

  • Generate ad hoc financial reports and analyses using Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.

General

  • Respond to routine finance-related requests from internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support internal and external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory reviews.

  • Support documentation and approvals relating to contracts, purchase orders, bank guarantees, export documentation, and notarization services where required.

  • Liaise with banks, customers, and business partners on matters relating to performance bonds and letters of credit.



Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline; professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CA, ACCA, CPA) are advantageous.

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably within a trading, manufacturing, or multinational environment.

  • Experience in handling banking-related matters, including Letters of Credit (LCs) and Bank Guarantees (BGs), would be advantageous.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and financial reporting tools.

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is advantageous.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with local, regional, and global teams.

  • Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.

  • Able to commence employment within a mutually agreed timeframe.
